New Room

Pardon me for being absent, but I have been busy helping my husband procure power tools and over-seeing that no fingers get cut off or holes drilled into knee caps. With special help from a library book, my super-star husband built the tree house this summer that he and the children have been talking about since last summer. I am awful proud of him.

It is a hit.

Why do children get along better in tree-houses than on solid ground?
Food must taste better up there too. Numerous popsicles were consumed in it prior to its completion, and several meals have been gobbled up in the last day.

The dog feels slightly left out...
...but, I think he'll be alright.

I don't know what Thomas is going to do now that this little project is all wrapped up.

They have been getting up in it since Thomas started laying the floor. But now, Mommy can worry a little less about them falling out. They have already asked if they can sleep in it. Calvin suggested mosquito netting to combat the bugs. Any ideas 'bout where I can get some. Doesn't OFF have a new product that you just hang on yourself? I thought that could work. Mosquitoes do love my babies.

And now that I have new fodder for blog posts, maybe I will start writing again more regularly. They have been keeping me busy, those two. And between them, and gigs, and traveling, and sewing, and running, and wiping off sweat, I just haven't had time for this frivolity of mine. I have missed it. Maybe now that the children have a new room for themselves in which to play, I will have some "new room" for my own play.

A 1000 0000 congratulations . It looks simply enticing and inviting. Sports stores should have netting. I am so glad, we "saw" the house evolve. And 1000 oooo thanks for being back on the blog.

I know you children will love this treehouse. My husband built one for our boys, they have had hours of enjoyment out of it! As far as the OFF bug thing-a friend of mine tried that at a picnic, and still got "eaten up." That is just one persons experience.

Enjoy the treehouse!
