Painted house

No, this is not another tree house post.

For some time now (make that a year!), Suzana has been talking about re-decorating her beautiful natural wood doll house. I have put it off as long as possible. I consulted the toy expert at the local toy store where I bought the house, oops, I mean where they have a house like the one Santa and his elves made for Suzana few years ago. The toy-lady assured me that many many little girls want to paint and paper this house and that they do so and that it'll be okay. Those toy stores should offer counseling services.

So, this is the week.

We started with a few pieces of furniture.
And then started in on the house.

Calvin was delighted to help and was extremely agreeable in following Suzana's instructions and desires. He is going to make an excellent husband some day. We were limited by the paints we had in Mommy's and the children's craft closets, but all things considered, the house turned out okay. Mommy had some control issues that she had to let go of, but the children were remarkably understanding of her neurosis.
