She is 5 today.
I wanted to post pictures from her day of birth, but instead I'll post a set of picture of the last day of her being 4. I caught her outside "writing in her journal." It was a perfect afternoon. I wonder if there is a little poet trapped inside of her waiting to get out...just as soon as she masters handwriting and spelling. I won't suggest it to her, because then she'll never ever write a poem. Sometimes she is reminds me so much of myself, it hurts. However, she is funnier, smarter, and more daring than myself. She has a great life in front of her. Just as soon as she has her granola.
Happiest of birthdays to you, my dear daughter.

Happy happy birthday, Suzana!
Happy BIrthday, dear Suzana. You are so lucky to have a mom (and dad, of course) who loves and understands you so well. (This post moves me to tears. What a sweet portrait on the last day of being 4. Time moves so fast- the last day of being four in this home seems ages ago, and reading you, Barbara, I do miss it more than I realized.) Please keep writing- we love your blog!
